State of the Industry coming March 22

Last call! You must have a Certified Food Protection Manager by March 1

The deadline to have a Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) on your staff is March 1 - TOMORROW. The CFPM must be certified through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited program. Washington Hospitality Association members can sign up for training and certification through our partnership with the National Restaurant Association and ServSafe.

Scholarship applications now open

Each year, the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation awards more than $1 million in scholarships to deserving college students.  


If you know someone pursuing a degree in a restaurant, foodservice or hospitality program, they could receive up to $10,000 to use toward tuition, room and board, books and other school-related expenses. 

The deadline to apply is March 15.

IRS announces special Saturday hours for face-to-face help

The Internal Revenue Service will operate Saturday hours Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs) across the country. Your next opportunity to take advantage of this is March 11.
