New Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) reporting required Jan. 1

All employers will be required to report SOC codes or job titles starting with the fourth-quarter 2022 tax report for unemployment insurance. SOC is a federal coding system that helps government agencies and private businesses compare occupational data.

Only a few weeks left to get your UEI number for WW5 payments

The Department of Commerce has extended the deadline to submit a valid Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number for Working Washington Round 5 applicants to 5 p.m. on Dec. 21. If eligible applicants do not submit a valid UEI number by the deadline, they will not be eligible to receive funding. This is the final deadline for UEI submission.

Do you have your Certified Food Protection Manager certificate yet?

Time is running out to ensure you are compliant with the new Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) requirement, which takes effect March 1, 2023. Washington Hospitality Association members can sign up for training and certification through our partnership with the National Restaurant Association and ServSafe in the section below.  

ServSafe Manager is ANSI certified and completes the Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) requirement by MARCH 1, 2023, in the Washington food code.
