King County minimum wage proposal update

Based on the incredible turnout of our members speaking out against the King County minimum wage proposal, along with our open letter signed by 165 residents and members, the committee made the decision not to take action on this legislation.

This means that the committee will most likely be discussing this legislation in January 2024.

NLRB extends effective date of joint-employer regulation

The National Labor Relations Board changed the effective date of its job-killing “joint-employer” regulation to Feb. 26, 2024, to facilitate resolution of legal challenges. AHLA is one of a number of groups suing the Biden Administration over this franchise-model destroying rule.
