The National Restaurant Association’s 2023 Public Affairs Conference

Republican strategist Karl Rove and former advisor to President Barack Obama, Robert Gibbs, will take the stage during the National Restaurant Association’s Public Affairs Conference June 19-21, giving attendees an unparalleled, bipartisan perspective on today’s political landscape and its impact on restaurant operators. The Washington Hospitality Association has a limited number of complementary registrations. Contact John Lane at johnl@wahospitality.org for more information.

This is your opportunity to meet with Washington state congressional representatives and senators to let them know about the challenges facing hospitality and what they can do to help support our industry.

WA Cares basics: What businesses need to know

In July, workers begin contributing to the WA Cares Fund. Is your organization ready? Join the Aging and Long-Term Support Administration at noon on May 18 for the latest updates on the state’s long-term care insurance program and learn more about employer responsibilities. The webinar will cover who contributes to the fund, who can get an exemption, how workers will meet contribution requirements and what kinds of benefits will be available.

Get your questions answered and find out where to go for more resources for businesses and workers. For those unable to join live, a recording and a copy of the slides will be posted at wacaresfund.wa.gov/webinars

Do you know your business insurance renewal date?

If you don’t know when your business insurance policy renews, now is the time to check. We recommend starting the process 120 days before your renewal date because of how slammed underwriters are. It may seem like a long time but resist the urge to put this off until later.
